Sophia University started on April 12! I had my first day of classes, and luckily I was able to register all four classes on Tuesday and Friday, leaving me the rest of the week to go on my own adventures. Speaking of adventures, I was able to join the Adventure club! Our first outing is on the 19th.
Some fun activities I've done since arriving in Japan include:
Mount Fuji tour
Go Karting in Shinjuku
Sophia Orientation
The Mount Fuji tour was amazing! Sadly, it was a cloudy day, but we were able to go strawberry picking as part of the tour. They served the strawberries with condensed milk (highly recommend).
My family all got our international drivers permit before we arrived so that we were able to go kart! While it was a little scary at first, not to mention having to drive on the opposite side, it was such a blast! We all got to dress up as different characters! It was also raining while we did it, but the experience was fun nonetheless!
The Sophia orientation was very informative. I was able to meet a lot of students studying abroad as well. All the people from my dorm that go to Sophia went together. We took a picture at the Sophia Sign.
